Our Story
Founded in 2007 by Tyrone Wilson, Write Real Productions, LLC began with a simple but powerful mission — to produce entertainment that empowers. From small beginnings in Hampton Roads, Virginia, to building partnerships with talented directors, producers, musicians, and actors, Write Real Productions has grown into a recognized name in creative media.
Our work spans across genres and platforms, including animated and live-action films, music albums, theatrical productions, and children’s literature. Every project is driven by the belief that entertainment can do more than amuse — it can educate, inspire, and bring people together.
Unlike traditional studios that focus solely on profits or trends, we create content that addresses real-life issues such as bullying, self-worth, overcoming adversity, and personal growth. We want every viewer, reader, or listener to walk away feeling encouraged, empowered, and hopeful.
Letter from the CEO
Write Real Production is pleased to share this exciting project, “The Spectacle of Lights” with you. As you may know, the animation industry is experiencing phenomenal growth even in this time of uncertainty in our economy and the trend shows no sign of slowing down. The escape from life’s problems to see an inexpensive movie and remove oneself from the day-to-day rigors of life is statistically proven in every city of our society. Write Real Productions strives to provide audiences with entertainment in a variety of ways, but most importantly, educating through the mediums of film, television, stage and literature.
We are elated that you are interested in Write Real Productions latest endeavor, we are confident that WRP will exceed you and your constituent’s every expectation. WRP has the distinct pleasure of having several networks that have expressed interest in considering this film as a Saturday morning cartoon special. We have four pilots prepared that deal with many of today’s hot button issues that face our children and adults around the globe. Upon acceptance, we will launch these productions into multiple highly viewed markets. We greatly anticipate the opportunity to be able to work together with Netflix and look forward to hearing from you soon!

Tyrone Wilson, a native of Hampton Roads, Virginia, has had a love of music for as long as he can remember. He picked up his first pair of drumsticks at the age of 14 after watching his father’s band rehearse one evening and has been full steam ahead in the entertainment industry ever since. Over the years, in addition to establishing his company, Write Real Productions, Tyrone has written and directed several films, authored two children’s books and has played in several bands. His current project is his latest band, No Boarders which features a multi-ethnic country-fusion band performing all original music. Always one to pull off what has never been done before, we wouldn’t expect anything less from Tyrone and look for even more from him in the future.
